What We Do

Everything You Need Under One Roof

Roadworthy testing, certification, licensing paperwork and number plates, all handled at any of our 8 Gauteng stations. Most inspections are completed in just 25 to 45 minutes.

The tests and certificates that keep a vehicle legal on the road.

Testing and Certification

Vehicle Roadworthy

Safe, Simple and Compliant

Need to sell your vehicle, re-register it, or clear a defect notice? We provide professional roadworthy inspections and issue certificates that meet South African legal requirements.

Certificate of Fitness

Annual certification for taxis, buses and heavy vehicles.

A Certificate of Fitness is the commercial equivalent of a roadworthy certificate. Public transport vehicles and heavy vehicles are tested every year before their licence can be renewed, and buses every six months. Heavy vehicle testing is handled at our Grade A stations.

Brake Test

Braking efficiency measured wheel by wheel on a roller tester.

Brake efficiency is the one part of roadworthiness testing that has to be measured by machine rather than judged by eye. Our roller brake testers record the braking force at each wheel and produce a printed record of the result, which matters if you run a fleet and need to show a vehicle was tested and passed on a given date.

Lumens Test

Headlamp aim and intensity, checked against the legal standard.

Headlamps are checked for alignment and intensity, and both sides have to match. This is one of the most common reasons a vehicle fails a roadworthy test, because South African law only recognises halogen and filament bulbs. Aftermarket LED and HID conversions are very common and are not roadworthy, and most drivers who fit them do not know that.

Multipoint Check

A full condition report for buyers and sellers of pre-owned vehicles.

For both Sellers and Buyers of pre-owned vehicles, our Multi-Point Inspection is indispensable. Providing comprehensive scrutiny, this service instills confidence in buyers, ensuring they're fully informed about the vehicle's condition, verified by VTest Group.

Licensing and Paperwork

Licence and Registration

Licence and Registration

From roadworthy inspections to licence and registration paperwork, we handle everything in one place, so you can skip the queues and get back on the road sooner.

Change of Ownership

Getting the vehicle out of the seller's name and into yours.

When a vehicle changes hands the seller has to notify the authorities within 21 days, and the buyer has to register it within 21 days of taking possession. Until that happens, licence fees, e-tolls and traffic fines stay with the seller. We handle the forms and the queuing for both sides.

Licence Disc Renewal

Your disc renewed without you losing a morning to it.

Vehicle licences are renewed every year. There is no test involved, just paperwork and a queue. We stand in that queue for you and hand the new disc back.

Double Discs

Licence disc and roadworthy certificate, sorted in one visit.

Ride-hailing and delivery platforms often want a valid licence disc and a roadworthy certificate together. We handle both in the same visit, so you are not chasing two documents in two places.

Security and Identification

Number Plates

SABS-Approved Number Plates

Need a replacement plate? We manufacture SABS-approved number plates at our testing stations, so you can have them made during the same visit as your roadworthy inspection.

DataDot

Microdot marking that deters theft and helps recover stolen vehicles.

Microdot Technology involves the application of thousands of minuscule dots onto vehicles, each bearing a distinct identification code registered to the owner. These dots, invisible to the naked eye, serve as a powerful tool in the fight against car theft and helping recover stolen vehicles.
